About

The FIA is the international governing body for world motorsport, responsible for sanctioning Formula 1, the World Endurance Championship, World Rally Championship, and dozens of other professional and amateur racing series worldwide. While most US amateur racers do not interact directly with the FIA, the organization sets safety standards, technical regulations, and licensing requirements that cascade through national sanctioning bodies. An FIA International License is required for competing in certain international events and professional series.
