Rental Program
Track-ready rental vehicles available for students who need a car for their session.
A rental program provides you with a track-ready car for your HPDE event or coaching session. You arrive at the track, receive an orientation on the car (controls, emergency procedures, any driving restrictions), and drive it for the day. The car is insured, maintained, and equipped with proper safety gear. Many rental programs include track-day tires, adequate brake pads for a full day, and basic data logging.
Rental cars range from prepared Miatas and Mustangs to Porsche Caymans and BMW M cars. The specific inventory varies by provider. Some programs pair the rental with coaching, giving you both the car and the instruction in a single package.
Rental programs are for drivers who want to try HPDE without putting miles on their own car, who do not yet own a track-capable vehicle, or who want to experience a different car than they normally drive. It is also popular with travelers who fly to events at distant tracks and need a car on arrival.
- How different cars feel on track: weight transfer, brake feel, and throttle response across various platforms
- Adapting your driving technique to an unfamiliar car quickly and safely
- Proper care and management of a track car during an event: tire pressures, brake checks, and cool-down procedures
- Whether high-performance driving is something you want to pursue further, at minimal personal risk
Drive the rental car for at least one full session at conservative pace before pushing. Every car has different brake feel, steering weight, and throttle response. Getting caught out by an unfamiliar car in the first corner of your first session is avoidable with a patient warm-up.
