Advanced Program

Structured multi-session programs for experienced drivers seeking to reach the next level.

What to expect

Advanced programs are structured multi-session curricula designed for drivers who have already mastered the fundamentals. The program typically spans two to three days, often across multiple weekends, with progressive content that builds on each previous session. Classroom work shifts from basics to advanced topics: data-driven self-analysis, threshold braking optimization, understanding the physics of load transfer at a deeper level, and pre-competitive skills like driving side by side.

On track, the coaching is highly individualized even within the group format. Instructors use data, video, and direct observation to target each driver's specific weaknesses. Expect the pace to be significantly faster than a standard HPDE event, with emphasis on compressing braking zones, maximizing corner-exit speed, and developing the consistency needed to produce repeatable lap times.

Who it is for

Advanced programs are for experienced HPDE drivers who have completed multiple events, are comfortable driving solo in an advanced run group, and want a structured path to the next level. Whether your goal is time trials, competition licensing, or simply becoming the best HPDE driver you can be, an advanced program provides the curriculum and coaching density to get there.

What you will learn
  • Braking zone optimization: compressing the braking zone and maximizing trail braking depth
  • Corner-exit speed maximization through precise throttle timing and rotation management
  • Data-driven self-coaching: reading telemetry independently to identify improvement areas
  • Pre-competitive skills including side-by-side driving awareness and situational decision-making
  • Advanced vehicle dynamics concepts: load transfer management through driver inputs
  • Building a systematic approach to learning new tracks quickly
Pro tip

The HPDE Curriculum Guide distinguishes three levels of driving outcomes: fundamental, core, and pre-competitive. An advanced program is where you transition from core skills (being fast and safe) to pre-competitive skills (being ready for anything). The drivers who get the most from advanced programs are the ones who can already drive consistently and are ready to learn why they are fast, not just how to be fast.
